Christmas is here!

Merry Christmas to you all,

I just wanted to share Santa's Bag and a little card that fits inside with you. The Santa's Bag is courtesy of a fabulous US Demonstrator, Tami White and you can find the instructions here:http://stampwithtami.com/blog/2015/11/holiday-helper-2015/

I love the little card and it is very simple to make, the Antlers are from the Wonderland stamp set, stamp them and put two dots under the antlers for the eyes and then stick a red enamel dot on for his nose. They make good gift tags as well as cards.

My husband thought the card looked like it was a reindeer in the snow lol... I hope you like it as much as I do.

I will be back in the New Year, so for now Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you.

Christmas is nearly here!

Hi everyone,
My apologies for not posting sooner, as soon as I got back from Brussels I spent 10 days prepping for a workshop. My craft room is upstairs and my husband said I was up there so much I needed a visa to come downstairs! LOL.
The evening was very successful as two of the ladies decided they wanted to make more Christmas cards at home, as a demonstrator it's a great feeling when someone else feels the same passion as you do. It was a lovely evening as the hostess put on Christmas music and there was some food and drink for everyone. I had some lovely comments about the evening, apparently it was the talk of the school gates the next morning! This is a picture of the gift I gave the hostess:

The kit contains 6 Christmas cards from the Embellished Ornaments stamp set, 6 gift card size cards and 6 gift tags, the hostess was delighted with it I am glad to say.

I was honoured to be asked by my daughter in law to make 70th Birthday cards for her Mum from her and my granddaughters, no pressure! I really hope she likes them, her favourite colours are lilac and bright yellow so I used Daffodil Delight and Wisteria Wonder. It's not a combination I've used before, I really like it though - what do you think?
Happy Birthday Mary.

I'm still having problems accessing my photos, I hope to be able to post the Christmas cards I have made in a few days.

Brussels Swaps...

Hi Everyone,

One of the great things about Stampin' Up! events is the swapping...

These are the swaps that I made:
From this...
to this - A Christmas Decoration.

Tissue Boxes, everyone got a pack of tissues as well!
The cards in front of the box were swap number 3.
I made ten of each swap, the card fronts are Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake. The tissue boxes are cased from JanB Handmade Cards Atelier (http://www.janbcards.com). Jan used cardstock and decorated with Designer Series Paper (DSP), I used a range of DSP and decorated with a die cut butterfly and flowers and accented with rhinestones. I hope you like them.  Fiona x

You can find details below of exactly what I used.

Oh Brother!

Hi everyone,

Well the hour has changed and the weather forecasters are threatening bad weather so a good reason to get into the craft room and get creative. There is a week in October when I have 6 birthdays for which to make cards, for friends and family. As promised in my last post I said I would share the 3 male cards I made; these were for my brothers whose birthdays all fall in the same week so coming up with different ideas can be tricky....

One of the boys birthdays is a milestone one so I decided to make a card in box for him so it was bit different - Happy Birthday Chris! Jon has just come back from his very own Ryder Cup golf week so a golf card felt natural for him. Alex loves dogs, as I don't have any dog stamps I went with a Watercolour Wishes card in blues and greys and personalised it.

I made another card in a box for my friends daughter, thank you to Lea Denton for her excellent You Tube tutorial which I followed and am now hooked on making them!

(Flurry of Wishes Card In A Box Tutorial - http://www.thecraftyspark.co.uk/2015)

I'd love to hear what you think of them.

The products I used are detailed below, and can all be purchased through the 'Shop Now' tab at the top of the page.

Halloween

Hi, so we're well into October now and the weathers a changing! Having just come back from the USA where they decorate for Halloween at the beginning of October I thought I would get into the mood....
I had bought the Witches Hat kit (see details below) from the Autumn/Winter2015 catalogue so I made that and then I saw this little fellow on Pinterest, by PattyStamps. I've made 4 of them and put them around the hat. He is very easy to make with the Curvy Keepsake die and I just love the black glimmer card I've used for his hat. The family came to visit and having made 4 pumpkins I now only have 1 left; not only did my granddaughters want one each my daughter in law did as well! I thought that was a real compliment.. I hope you like them! You too could make them, the details are below and everything is available via the 'My Shop' link. Enjoy!
My Stampin Blog

Saturday 17 October 2015

Hello

Hi everyone, I'm sorry I haven't been posting as regularly as I would have liked. For some reason my photos aren't available when I want to upload them to the blog so I need to do some investigating...

I have three male birthdays coming up this next week and I really struggle with male birthdays, I'll show you next week what I came up with when they've all had their cards.

Since getting back from our 'Road Trip' we've been adjusting to day to day life again, washing, ironing, chores and reconnecting with friends so I thought I would share with you some cards I  made before we went away. I had a friend diagnosed with breast cancer so the 'Thinking of You' card was for her, and she had her op whilst we were away. There were also friends and family birthdays and starting new jobs/schools so they got a card as well...

Details of the Stamping' Up! products that I used are below, click on 'My Shop' to have a browse.

I hope you like them and I would love to get your comments,

Bye for now,
Fiona x

Happy Birthday!

Hi everyone, I couldn't post this card earlier as I had given it to a friend for her birthday and I didn't want to spoil it for her. Blue is her favourite colour, and because I love this particular Happy Birthday stamp I made it the focal point.
Happy Birthday Paula!
The products used were Midnight navy card stock, washi tape, bitty butterfly punch and Boho Chic embossing folder. All the products can be found in 'My Shop', just click on the link at the side of the page.
I'll be back using my laptop soon so will be able to post more information and photos.

Inspiration in New Mexico

Hi from New Mexico! The number plates all say 'Land of Enchantment' and the scenery is certainly stunning, surrounded by mountains and so high up my husband says it feels like you could reach up and touch the clouds. 😜.
The colours that surround you here have certainly given me some inspiration and as soon as I get home I want to try out some colour combinations with the Bohemian stamp set and embossing folder.

Until then I wanted to share with you a card I made from the Tin of Cards kit, Congratulations to Ted & Mary on their Golden Wedding Anniversary. The only additions I made to what came from the kit were the oval which I punched and the '50th' which I die cut using the Little Numbers set. I hope they liked it and had a great day.

As I'm posting from my iPad I haven't been able to add the links to show you what I've used, feel free to click on 'my shop' on the side of the post and have a browse, there's some great products to choose from.

A level results

Hi there,

My cousins received their A level results last week, as did my friends daughter and they all got into the Universities they wanted so how good is that? The card below is the 'Congrats' cards I made for one the twins, inside I stamped 'you are a Star'. (The other one was in Midnight Navy).

Talking about Stars, I went to a joint training session for Stamping' Up! Demonstrators put together by our uplines and the 3D stars below were what I made for my swaps. They went down very well and one colleague wanted me to show her there and then how to make them. Thank you Charry and Angela for organising a great evening

I had watched Chicnscratch You Tube video on how to make them after they had been made at the US convention, which is when they launched the 2015 Autumn Winter catalogue which goes on sale on 1st September. As demonstrators we get the opportunity to preorder and the Seasons Greetings card below is my first Christmas card this year. The catalogue is amazing and I love so much of the products in there that my credit card might be a bit bouncy!

I also had my granddaughters to stay for a few days and they loved they Curvy Keepsake, Jessica made the dragon and Sophie made the Panda, I had great fun with them. Well done girls!

I realise this post is all over the place in topics, I had a problem uploading my photos so todays is a bit of a collage of the things I have done over the last few weeks.

Details of things I used are listed below and if you want to order anything you can do so by clicking on 'My Shop'. I can't share with you the items from the Autumn Winter 2015 catalogue until it goes live on 1st September so watch this space for more details.

I hope you like them, xxx

Ruby Wedding Anniversary

Hi everyone,
I had a training day with my Upline's team a couple of weeks ago which was great. We made a large version of the Crafty Hallet bag and matching cards to go in it, I know just who I'm going to give the bag to with their birthday present in it ;) . The bookings for the first of Stampin' Up! new style conference opened and I'm all booked, woohoo, Brussels (in November) here I come...

I started this post three weeks ago and then life intervened, plus we've been without any internet for a week now, gosh, you don't realise how reliant you re on it until you haven't got it :).

The card below was for a 40th Wedding Anniversary we had in the family recently, it was much appreciated. As it is a Ruby Wedding Anniversary I used Cherry Cobbler card stock and the Everything Eleanor stamp set. You can order all of the products by clicking on 'My Shop'.

I hope you like the card, have a great week.

More Birthdays...

Hi there, as I mentioned in a previous posts, July is a month of birthdays for my family and it's my Dad's turn. I saw the original of this card on Pinterest by Becky Roy
(artistic embellishments.com)  and cased the collage part using the Traveller and Open Sea stamp sets and punching out using the hexagon punch. At the bottom of the card I stamped the Birthday greeting from the hostess set which I just love. Details are below for the products I used; if you would like to purchase any of them please click on 'My Shop'. I hope Dad likes it...

Happy Birthday

Hi there, well July is a month of birthdays for me, including mine and my husbands. I thought I would share with you the card I have made for my husband. As I've said in a previous post I love this Bohemian paper and I'm hoping it will remind my husband of Arizona as well. I absolutely adore the large Happy Birthday from the Hostess set, Happy Birthday Everyone, the other sentiments are also from this set. If you would like to hold a party and qualify for Hostess gifts then please let me know, I will be more than happy to arrange one for you.

I asked my husband what it reminded him off and I was really pleased that it was Camelback (as mentioned in a previous post) so that worked! I hope you like it.

Bohemian Designer Series Paper

Hi, well the weather continues to be mixed so more time in my craft room, yay!
I really like the Bohemian design, both the paper and the stamp set because they remind me of the decor in one of my favourite hotels in the world, Camelback Inn and Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. I saw these card designs on Pinterest, created by Rachel Brown so I hope she doesn't mind me CASEing them (Copy & Share Everything). The bow was created using the Bow Builder Punch, details the products used are below. I hope you like them,
Fiona. x

Check out this weeks Weekly Deals, there are some great products on offer! Click on My Shop if you would like to buy any of the products.

New 2015-2016 'In Colours'.

Hi, as promised I have made the butterfly cards in the other four 'In Colours' to compare them. I found the Watermelon Wonder a little too bright for the smaller butterfly so stamped off and used the second generation colour which I think I prefer. I really like the Tip Top Taupe one, Delightful Dijon is nice as well; I wish I had used second generation of the Cucumber Crush as I feel that is a little overpowering as well. See what you think and let me know your favourite colours. I'm sorry that I can't remember where I originally saw these cards so unable to give credit where credit is due.
