Dallas Cowboys

Hi, I thought I'd put up an extra post this week. This card was for a special persons 40th Birthday; he is a fan of the Dallas Cowboys NFL team so I wanted to do something about them for him. The centrepiece is a golf ball marker which I stuck on with velcro so that it could be easily removed without affecting the card.

The 'happy Birthday' is from a hostess set in the new 2015 catalogue which goes on sale on 2nd June.

Candle cards

Hi there, I hope you've had a good weekend, enjoying the (mixed) weather. This weeks cards is one I was asked to do for a friends sons 50th birthday. I always struggle with mens cards, I saw something similar on Pinterest although I don't know who posted it so am unable to give them the credit they deserve. I really wanted to make this card but don't have any candle stamps so for the candle I used part of the Wondrous Wreath, and for the flame I used a leaf from Painted Petals.... the stars and suns/splodges are from the Perpetual Calendar stamp set.
My friend was absolutely delighted with the final product, to quote from her email 'Wow' so I was very relieved and pleased. In case you're wondering there are 5 candles per page, 50 in all! Apologies for the lack clarity on the second photo.

Swaps from UK Stamping' Up! event at Telford.

Hi there, as promised here are a sample of the swaps I received in exchange for my notepads.

There was a super mix of cards, notepads, bookmarks and even some that contained chocolate (though not for long!). Thank you to everyone who swapped with me.

My Swaps

Hello on this horrible rainy day! I'm off to Telford for this Saturday's UK event and I thought I would share my 'swaps' with you. The idea behind this is that you make something and then 'swap' with another demonstrator so you end up with examples of lots of different styles of cards, tags and 3d projects.

These are note pads with a magnet on the back so it can go on the fridge door or anywhere magnetic. The materials are used are detailed below and can be bought by clicking on 'my shop'. I hope other demonstrators like them, the back of the pad is Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry, credit to my husband for suggesting the 'yellow' combination.
I look forward to sharing some of the swaps I get with you next week,
Fiona.

Vivid Vases

Good Morning,
Well we're into May and the weather has gone back to winter so its good to have a craft room to submerge myself in. I'm busy getting my swaps ready for the UK Stampin' Up! event in Telford next week, I'm looking forward to meeting lots of like minded people all there to talk about crafting.

The card I have for you this week is one from a class run by my friend Yvonne, and even the colours are vivid.

The base card is Bermuda Bay, the Vivid Vases was stamped in Memento Black, and coloured in with Real Red Stamping' Write Marker, and the vases in Pool Part Marker to look like water in the vases. You have to draw a thin line from the bottom of the flower to give the appearance of a stem. The banners below were cut from odd pieces of leftover stash papers, and the little flowers were punched out from Itty Bitty Accents flower punch, and attached to the Bermuda Bay twine which was wrapped around the card. A bright spring card! I hope you like it,
Fiona.
