Wedding Anniversary

I made this for my 'amazingly amazing' husband for our wedding anniversary. I matted and layered the base with lost lagoon card and whisper white card. Using the Work of Art stamp set I stamped in Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist, Lost Lagoon, Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow, each heart was punched out with the circle punch. The words were stamped in Blackberry Bliss and punched out with the oval punch, and Hello Honey ribbon underneath the 'husband'. I hope you like it.

Blog Hop

Hi, this is a first for me. My good friend and fabulous crafter, Yvonne Bevan http://bspokecrafts.blogspot.co.uk   has nominated me for this blog hop. You can also hop over to another fantastic crafters blog, Cayleigh May http://cayleighscards.com

1). What are you working on right now?
A friend of mine has just lost her brother, another friend has just had a baby boy, and there is a wedding anniversary in the family so three very different cards to work on.

2). How does your work differ from others in your genre?
Unfortunately it doesn't, I'm not naturally creative. Give me a blank sheet of paper and my mind goes blank! Pinterest is wonderful for giving me ideas and I CASE (copy and share everything) a lot, my cards tend to turn out differently because I've made a mistake and had to cover something up, the baby card is an example of that.

3). Why do you create what you do?
I love making cards, I find it relaxing and colouring in is so therapeutic! I get such a feeling of satisfaction when someone likes one of my cards.

4). How does your creative process work?
As I said in answer to Q2 I struggle with creativity...The thing I love about Stampin' Up! Is that the colours co-ordinate which means I don't have to worry about things not matching anymore. I look at a particular topic on Pinterest and then decide what I want to create and how I will do it, and only then get going.
The anniversary card was cased from Kylie Henshaw, the sympathy card from Sarah-Jane Rae and the new baby card from Shelli Gardener.

Disney and 'double digits' card

I hope you had a lovely Easter, now it's out of the way it's time to get down to some serious crafting!
This was the card I made for one of my granddaughters birthday, when she hit 'double digits' . The family are off to Disney in the summer, and her favourite colour is purple so I wanted to do something that used both of those.

The card base is whisper white card, matted and layered with blackberry bliss card and moonlight designer series paper. Using circles punches I punched out one large and two smaller circles for the head and ears. The bow is also in blackberry bliss and made using the bow maker punch, (all Stampin' Up! products). The '10' was from my stash and coloured using Stampin' Write Marker in blackberry bliss, the message was printed out and punched out using the decorative label punch, and matted onto a blackberry bliss decorative label. A small rhinestone in the middle of the bow and I was done! I do hope you like it.
